Enigma by LELO
What do you think of when you hear the word enigma? A tall, dark, handsome stranger? Ooh a spy in Monaco… A quote from my first boyfriend “You don’t know me mate, I’m an enigma”. We were together for 6 years, but he was right, I mean do you ever really know anyone? Existentialism aside, I was reminded of the phase my ex went through of calling himself an enigma, when I received an email from LELO regarding their upcoming toy release, the – you guessed it – Enigma. The email contained no description (how enigmatic) but a link to a promotional video. Celestial beings on a rocky landscape, breathing in and out pleasure, stunning – but what is it? A couple of seconds of the video is dedicated to footage of feet and, for a moment, I genuinely thought it was going to be some kind of foot toy. Bold move, I thought, but no, finally the toy is revealed, and it appears to be a dual g spot vibrator and clitoral sucker. ~ I’m Shook. I have wanted a toy of this design for SO LONG. ~ So hold onto to your butts folx, here is my review of the LELO Enigma.
If you have read my other toys reviews, especially my LELO ones, you know I am a big aesthetic gal. I get really excited about packaging and design. Like a couple of years ago I realised I make little moaning sex noises while browsing typefaces… so perhaps you can imagine the whole host of noises I was making when I opened my parcel. A bottle of personal moisturiser that looks like a high-end bottle of perfume “uuuuhhhaaa”, a bottle of cleaning spray that smells divine “ohmy…. Ohhh! My god”, and finally, the Enigma “Hhoooly shiiiit”. This has to be one of the most beautiful toys I have ever seen. The metallic plating, instantly recognisable as a LELO Insignia range product, is a pink and purple ombre, and is absolutely fucking stunning set against the black silicone. I proudly walk around the office showing everyone how beautiful it is and then I plug it in to charge at my desk.
This is the part where I whine about the trials and tribulations of being paid to review vibrators… I AM ALWAYS TIRED! So tired. And like, as excited as I was about my Enigma, that doesn’t automatically make me horny, so, in the name of science and education, I watched some porn, to, you know, get me in the mood. It didn’t work, and only half because my sister was watching Bridgerton in the other room on 100 volume. I only had two nights before I went on holiday to Cairns (I know, what a hard life), so I was pressuring myself to wank, and that does not make for sexy atty (atmos….atmosphere…).
~ A quick side note: You shouldn’t make yourself do anything you’re not in the mood for, HOWEVER, when I am writing reviews, I often find it interesting to see how the toy functions when I am not “primed”. And so, the brave soul I am, I soldier on…~
Not warmed up or ready at all, I used a heap of the glorious LELO lubricant and inserted the Enigma… Toit. While I was trying to reposition the sucker over my clit, I was reminded of the Sila and moment I questioned everything, thinking I didn’t know where my clit was. But when I turn the Enigma on and I feel the very carnal, physical reaction in my legs, I just know that my clitoris, like the rest of me, is emotionally unavailable. I give myself a hug, tell my clit that I love her, and I roll onto my tummy, my proven method of masturbation. The clitoral opening is smaller, rounder and somewhat more rigid than the Sila so it kind of digs into me while I’m on my stomach but I tell you what, my vagina could not have cared less. Because without much of a build-up I had a g-spot orgasm.
Round Two
With only two nights together and our relationship already somewhat rocky, I decided I would try a little “absence makes the heart grow fonder”-esque therapy and leave the Enigma at home. Build up some sexual tension while I was away in Cairns, that, and also I was sharing a hotel room with my sister… Anyway, it worked! I was eager to get home to my new honey, and the eagerness made a big difference.
What I found was interesting. While laying on my back, I had all of the familiar sensations, numb feet, tingling, spasms, but rolled onto my stomach, I wasn’t reaching that all-encompassing, full body climax. I did however spend a full 4 minutes on my side, grabbing handfuls of my sheets and making what I can only assume was a very intense sex face. I can’t pin-point an exact moment of orgasm, but I felt satisfied and totally connected to my body… so… yeh… make of that what you will.
Let’s get into the stats because babes, it’s exciting…… for me anyway…
The Enigma is coated in luxurious body safe silicone and the trademark Insignia plating is a pink/purple ombre that actually just makes me so happy to look at.
The Enigma is a dual action gspot vibrator and clitoral stimulator with;
- 8 settings or functions with 8 intensities or speeds on each
- SenSonic Technology
- 2 hour charge time
- Fully submersible in water
- USB rechargeable with a 2 hour play time
- Travel lock
- 90-day charge stand by, which I really hadn’t thought about it that much because my LELO toys don’t go 90 days without being used but I love this feature.
- Available in two colours black and cerise
- Comes with a toy bag – you know this bitch loves a toy bag
- 1-year warranty and 10-year guarantee
Re: design
Having handled dual vibrators a-plenty, I was pleasantly surprised by how flexible the internal g-spot vibrator is. A great design to accommodate the diversity of the vulva. My only issue with the Enigma is with the sucker, in a perfect world it would have been made more to the design of the Sila (bigger & softer).
Re: Functions
Like most toys, the Enigma has a bunch of functions / modes / patterns. Some people think these are pointless, but I have to say, the more I use toys the more I am appreciating them. Especially with toys like this that I could lay with for a good half an hour. I am particularly fond of setting #8… the waaaaaaaaaaves. I have made a lil graphic of the mode program for you.
Re: Sonic Wave Technology
Like the Sila, the Enigma uses LELO’s patented SenSonic Technology to send pulses deep into the dermis. This results in what I can only describe as a richer, more luxurious orgasm. Uh perfection.
In Summation…
As a person who needs clitoral stimulation to orgasm, the Enigma so far has completely shaken up my way of masturbating. The sonic pulses create a sensation like no other, but they don’t overwhelm my body and I can therefore fully absorb the pleasure from the internal stimulation. Enter: richer, more luxurious orgasms. It has made me feel connected to my body in a way I can’t really explain, and I am so excited to keep using this toy and see what other pleasures can be discovered.
Do I recommend? If you have the money and love g-spot stimulation – yes. If you want to experience the wonder that is LELO’s SenSonic Tech – duh.
In the spirit of transparency, this is a sponsored post, but I assure you my reviews are genuine and my real and true opinion.
